The Go99™ Origin story...
We are a team with a background in heavy industry, and roots that sink deeply into heavy-haul too. Between our own fleet of trucks/trailers and contracted services, we found that we were bumping into the same frustrations year and year – without a solution in sight.
We decided to be the change – and created “Go99™”.
In the March of 2014, we were getting messed around, yet again, by brokers and middlemen being secretive and giving us misleading information on the services they were providing to us.
A particularly difficult freight operation was being managed while returning from a trip to Las Angeles where we had returned to the airport using an UBER Taxi service. That service was great! So, while taxiing along the runway we decided there and then that we needed an “Uber for Trans” and that we would start looking for one immediately after returning home. We did, and found nothing!
We met and spoke to over 100 Drivers and Shippers and asked what their needs were, what they would most want from an “Ideal Solution” – and we took action on their answers.
So we researched and planned for almost 12 months, looking at up to 170 other players in the sector from digital load boards to online trucking services, from parcel delivery to last-mile trucking. Everyone was biased and represented a party that was taking yet more profit from the gap between shippers and drivers.
We thought that was unfair and inefficient, and so set about to build something revolutionary, something that was open, free and most importantly, Transparent – where each of the parties in the business transaction knew what was happening throughout the entire process.
Achieving this Transparency, of the money, the load and the people involved would be the mission; we believe we have achieved this, a successful delivery, truly given it the industry “10-99” of mission complete – so we give you the solution: Go99™
